I want to thank you in so many ways. To be given a second chance and get something back in regard to something you did not appreciate or take care of in the first place is not often the case.

We do not live in a third world country with less than the basic necessities to sustain life. If you see people from other countries on the news, you can see their stained and rotten and missing teeth. You can only assume that this has caused them a lot of pain. We have more abundance here to an excess and yet find that all aspects of life are disposable. Myself included.

And yet when we get ready, we muster up our resources and take care of the problems we have created in our lives. This is a true luxury. And we also have capable, competent, and skillfully trained professionals to go to. To undo the damage we have done to ourselves.

All of this is to say to you that all of my basic needs were being met, and I could have been able to cope with damage I did to my mouth and keep moving on. BUT – I met you and you invest time and energy into helping me, and you did it very compassionately. And as a result, my QUALITY OF LIFE has improved drastically. The word “quality” as defined in the dictionary is: peculiar and essential character; degree of excellence; high social status; distinguishing attribute.

This type of quality provides a sense of well being, peace of mind, and inner peace and contentment, which you have now been able to restore. I was in constant pain and had much difficulty facing the world on a daily basis – this was much different than the person I was before. Again, though it was self-inflicted pain.

The Bible says it appropriately: “Have you beheld a man skillful in his work? Before Kings is where he will station himself; he will not station himself before commonplace men.” Proverbs 22:29

All of this is said with deep appreciation and gratitude.
